A fantastic aged Riesling that barely shows its 23 years of age. The nose was fresh and crisp with just a kiss of marmalade from the botrytis, however there was no notion of petrol which is all but unheard of for an old Mosel Riesling. The palate was gently sweet, almost like a young Kabinett but the complexity and richness of the wine was all old Auslese.
