Il San Lorenzo Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio

A favorite. Decanted over two hours and bright fruit, tartness, dark cherry and blackberry and dirt/soul.

Haven't had much older verdicchio (at least not ones that were drinkable) truly a fascinating wine.

A little funky yeastiness, great body and length. Reminded me of good Mersault but with a different fruit profile... I know that makes zero sense, but whatever I liked it.

Red and white both great

A little broader and more volatile than a bottle drunk 6 months ago - yet a definite favorite

Cold-sweat, wet paint.

Complex like an aged white Burgundy. Proof that Verdicchio can age like any great white varietal. Truly complex and compelling.

Heavyweight champ.
