Viacosta Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese

Last bottle of 6, last vintage before replant. Deep, structured, at maturity and drinking great. Soaked cherries, dried cherry, clove, asphalt, leather, porcini, fennel seed, underbrush, dust. VA and brett in check here, last two were through the roof! Tannins still assertive, fine and postured.

Earthy sangio with plenty of that dusty/leathery character. Funk and gamey animal notes mix with dried sour cherries, hoisin, salumi mold, dried violets, Mexican cinnamon. Palate shows some integration and theres these great gritty tannins that linger about.

Still young lots of tannins.

Best if the three.

Awesome Chianti

Funky barnyard nose with cinnamon candy apple in the background. Palate is astringent with the high alcohol coming through big time.

Amazing chianti

Slightly sweet nose, angry tannins, very light peppery bite compared to other Chiantis.

Very nice chianti, really smooth on the front end, a little smoky on the back end
