Secco Grasparossa di Castelvetro Lambrusco

The 2021 Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro Secco is incredibly fresh with a smoky mix of crushed wild berries and savory herbs. It’s silky smooth with a stimulating core of sour citrus and mineral-tinged bubbles that add a cheek-puckering tension within. The 2021 leaves the palate aching with a staining of primary concentration that slowly dissolves and reveals a lingering hint of black licorice. (Eric Guido, Vinous, March 2023)

Dense purple in the glass. Great aroma. Dry and chalky. Bone dry in fact.

Medium frizz, very dark fruits. Tannic

A dry, savory Lambrusco.....with sushi, watching Glass Blowing ( Blown Away) on Netflix with the family, celebrating a wedding anniversary. Life is good. Kermit import.

Dry, refreshing, herbaceous.

Dark ruby red with slightly frizz, its dry with red berry and red cherry flavor, slightly candied cherry at the end. Body and texture r heavier than usual Lambrusco . Great food wine.

2014. Drinking fantastic tonight with deep dish pizza although it needed a few minutes to bloom. It tastes like those tiny little wild black raspberries you find on the side of the trail when you're hiking the northwoods of Michigan in July.

Dry and tart but with rich berry fruit and dried herbs. Perfect for cured meats or pizza topped with said meats.

2014. Candy on the nose but wiry in the mouth. Every sip makes me crave prosciutto more.
