Love this wine! Dark red fruits, good acid, great balance.

Sipping Fine Wine

A blend of Cab Sauv and Merlot, deep Ruby with aromas of complex ripe fruit, spice and oak. On the palate flavors of ripe blueberry, currants and figs with tobacco and nutty notes. Fine tannins, long persistent finish ending with cooked fruit and smoky spice. Very Nice.

I was watching Ripley the other night and the scene where Ripley dropped off Freddie’s dead body at Via Appia Antica made me want to open this bottle.
From 8 rows of vines the produced the legendary Fiorano Rosso, this Merlot/CS blend is expectably ripe, yet also manages to be bright and savory at the same time. Medium elegant body. Luscious and silky. Long candied finish with underlying minerality.
Tuneta Principe Alberico is run by the Antinori’s. Bottle 1945 of 2756.
