Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Captivating aromatic bouquet after time spent decanting. This is a by the book Brunello, featuring dried cherry, black cherry, blackberry, loads of cinnamon, vanilla, bitter chocolate, & tar. All are seamless, deep, & savory. Spice & fruit comes first, & last remarkably long. Opened young, of course, but patience isn't a virtue of mine. || Decanted 5 hours.

Great texture and mouthfeel. Moderate astringency with refined finish. Amble tannin and acid.

We had the 2010 Vintage on 10/12/24. This Old World, medium bodied wine has all the ingredients for a real good Brunello. There are tastes of raspberry, strawberry, leather and spice. A nice finish. A reasonably priced wine from an excellent Vintage

Nice Brunello but not quite singing - even with a decant it’s surprisingly rustic and slightly muddled in the finish. Nice deep red fruit on the nose, lots of earth. Excellent pairing with a big grilled meal. Finish is long, but doesn’t have the lifting acid I was hoping for.

Stylish but not too tame. Forget about it for five years or more.

Strong fruity flavor.

Very smooth, decanted for over an hour but as good as this was I'm sure in 3-4 years would be even better which is why I cellared the other two bottles
