Glistening violet color. Displays highly perfumed red/blue fruit liqueur, exotic spice and floral oil qualities on the expressive nose. Alluring sweet and broad on the palate, offering sweet Chambord, blueberry and spicecake flavors that are sharpened by a building mineral flourish. Shows sharp definition and spicy cut on a long, penetrating finish that leaves sweet floral pastille and red berry preserve notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2020)

Floral bouquet, supple yet fine texture and a bit sappy in finish. Excellent acidity and fine grained tannin. All pre-phylloxera vines planted on sand

Gigondas is just a few miles from CDP a very diverse appellation and they have the terroir with lots of sand on the top and limestone at the bottom. This parcel is prephloxera they survived because of the sand all Grenache the vines are at. 300 meters. The vines look like small trees at 140 years old and this wine has incredible balance more Pinotesque has a very pretty nose beautiful fruit cherry and plum like fruit with smooth tannins and a lovely freshness very well built. Finish 45+

For me in its prime this juicy and fleshy Gigondas. Smooth in the middle and really nice and long finish with cherries and bitter chocolate.
