Palate is medium dry tannins, dark cherries, cherries, creamed raspberries, strawberries, underripe plum, raw rhubarb, tobacco leaf, edgy dark powdery minerals, crushed dry rocks, red & pink florals, some leather, wood shavings, raspberry twizzlers, cherry cola tea, just a hint of pepper and a medium dry fruit finish with good acidity. 375ml triple decanted.

Showing a little age, bramble and sanguine on the nose. Nice dense texture on the mid without being to syrupy. Finishes a little shorter than I'd like but overall is a stellar example of a CdP from a warm vintage that isn't over the top. Them Perrins seem to have it figured out.

Jul 28th, 2016A tasty, meaty CdP from 2009. Good fruit that really sang after about 45 minutes in decanter and another 10-15 in glass. Worked well with a Chateaubriand for two with sautéed spinach and portobella mushrooms.
