12’ Fait-Main Las Piedras.
It’s as good if not better then the Schrader LPV / Paul Hobbs LPV. Deep ruby color, pale purple edge. Nose- Black/blue fruits worn leather, come together.
Full-bodied. Blackberry jam, smoke, lavender, black forest cake, melting tannins. Juice flavorful finish. Pour into a decanter for 15/20 minutes. Fabulous expression of this vineyard.
Two can’t miss wines for the 4th.

Wow... after an hour of decanting, wine was singing. Wish I had more. Edit- Last time we opened a bottle was a year & half ago. Time has been quite kind to this sensational bottle.

12’ Fait Main Las Piedras. This nice effort displays a core of cassis, blackberries, black cherries. Hints of coco & roasted toffee !?! Dense RIPE & medium +\full - bodied. Another 2012 that I would wait to drink my next bottle.

A perfect wine. 100 points. I don’t throw that around flippantly. It’s perfect.

Needs a long time in the bottle. Long decant did not help.

Great to share a bottle (or four) with the talented Benoit Touquette.

The slurry of the fruit hits you like a brick. Black and blue fruit lasts forever on the palate. While this is young it is a special wine and it opened up nicely after an hour. Wowsa.
