Deep purple in color with a light purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blueberries, plums, cherries, barnyard, earth, leather, green pepper, chocolates, wood, vegetables, metals, black pepper and spices.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn, leather, smoke, chocolates and coffee.

Long finish with soft tannins and raspberries.

A very nice, fruity Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa. Inexpensive, at a great value and very tasty. Nicely balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food.

Needs at least 20 minutes of airtime to open up.

I paired it with steak skewers and potatoes.

14% alcohol by volume.

Deep ruby in color with a purple rim.

Spicy and earthy on the nose, with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, barnyard, chocolates, vanilla, light cola, vegetables, mocha, spices, leather, dirt and peppercorn.

Full bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, mint, coffee, chocolates, smoke, earth, bell pepper, spices and peppercorn.

Medium finish with gripy tannins (after an hour), black pepper and bitter vegetables.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is extremely spicy. Simple and earthy, with a lot of spunk. A bit unbalanced, but drinkable. Better with food though and needs time to open up.

I had the 2012 and 13, which were pretty similar, except for the alcohol level which was 14.5%.
This vintage has 14% alcohol by volume.

Nose is interesting, but that is the highlight for me. Unripe raspberries , lots of acidity take away some of the enjoyment of the wine. It was good with chicken Parmesan. I'll go with a 7.1 bc it paired well with the meal. With that said, for the price, it's not bad. E gave 7 and earthy

Not one thing or another really stands out. But it's drinkable and apparently the price ain't bad either.
