Entrancing complexity. Pear fruit and persimmon with a certain leesy funk. Good verve but also mellow- again a leesy character.

Biodynamic Chardonnay from Steiermark.
Cloudy, smokey, yeasty, sappy, fresh!
Bruised apples, ripe lemons, underripe pineapple, green mango. Plus some hay, flinty, smokey aromas. Juicy, fresh, enticing.
On the palate with vibrant acidity, with great freshness & depth. Rough around the edges, with a touch of cidery notes, a bit of VA. There’s a creamy touch to the mouthfeel. And a mineral hint. This is ultra drinkable and so delicious. Love it!

Match box on the nose. Really some kind of reductive level I have never had before, and I love it. Very dry with high acidity, anything else tastes and smells like a fruit bomb after having this peculiar, yet excellent wine.

Mar 16th, 2019When wine is recommended by the French I tend to listen. This was a vibrant skin contact white with the sharpness of cheddar and a tart sweetness. Like many naturals there’s a faint atmosphere of feet but enough crisp character to make this a fairly enjoyable drink
