Light ruby in color. Dramatic aromatic lift with notes of red cherry, freshly cut roses, sage, menthol, and mulch with oak spice accents. Mid-weight with good acidity and very long, bitter finish. Sourced from the oldest vines in Seven Springs Vineyard and representing Evening Land’s smallest production bottling, the yields are very low as the vines are own rooted and slowly succumbing to phylloxera. The grapes are fermented 100% whole cluster then aged 16 months in 100% new French oak Ermitage barrels. This is a lovely wine that is about subtlety rather than sappy fruit. 12.5% ABV. $100.

Earthy, funky, red fruit, spice, and floral all rolled into one. M+ acid, chalky in a good way front tannin, m body, and long finish. This wine is screaming to be paired with braised duck with a wild mushroom sauce.

Woohooo!!! This is good. From the last of the original vine plantings that haven't been affected by phylloxera on the Seven Springs Vineyard. 100% whole cluster yumminess. All of the complexity of La Source with a more elegant palate and expressive nose. More approachable than all the other Evening Land Pinots, but this could age nicely for the next 10-15yrs.@June's All Day, Austin TX

Beautiful wine! I’ve had other vintages of this wine in the past. I tasted this 2017 out of 1.5L. Felt quite feminine in nature. Medium plus acidity and a long finish. Red fruited, and earthy. Dried cranberries, and tarragon. Seemed like a kaleidoscope of aromas and flavors. Very happy to have tried this!

Light body and beautiful red violet body. Medium to medium low acid. Nose with prominent sour cherries. Body with a little tar and red currents and more cherries. Delightful year.

Blown away. I cannot recall a domestic pinot noir that holds a candle to this wine. A clear ruby in the glass with soaring notes of forest floor, crushed cherries and raspberries, tobacco and sandalwood. On the palate, elegant yet multidimensional with incredible depth of flavor, with gradually building notes of mushroom, meaty dark cherries, cranberries, leather and anise followed by a persistent spicy and mouth coating finish. Very Burgundian, leaning toward a top notch vosne romanee.

A little funky and nuanced spice + fruit blend. Nice hues of ruby red

2015 Pinot Noir
Fresco, fruta madura, buen equilibrio y con un post/gusto muy agradable y largo.
Habrá que catarlo dentro de un par de años.

From a maker’s dinner with Sashi Moorman. Great concentration balanced with elegance.

Fun tasting a bunch with Rajat Parr hosting the evening. This in particular was impressive with a long life ahead.
