Mendoza Malbec

Good for the price at Aldi

Aldi’s $5-6 make it a good Malbec and it is recommended to drink cold which is excellent for heavy meats like lamb however it’s missing some sophistication!

bitter, black currant and purple plum vanilla ish, stone fruit and woodyish bouquet, sharp finish

A medium-bodied wine that hits the palate with a smoky barrel, heavy tannins, and black fruits.

I drank it warm, so it may be a bit better cold or with heavy meats (steak/lamb).

Wine Club night 1st place….. sadly $5

Our ruby red Melbec dazzles with violet reflections and a medium-full body. Dry with notes of blackberries, plum, and spice.

Just awful. To be fair, it may have just been a bad bottle, but I won’t try it again to find out.

This was a mild tasting wine, which a rich, dark color (almost purple). Unfortunately I slept very poorly after drinking it, though I’m not sure if it was the wine or unrelated events.
