We picked up this 2010 E&T Cab awhile ago on one of our visits to the cellar door in Margaret River. It's an incredible wine that's has won many awards including being given 97 points from Ray Jordan. Mr. Spittoon and I thought it was the perfect wine to pop on #CabernetDay this year.

It's a sultry garnet colour in the glass. The nose is powerful and inviting with aromas of liquorice, savoury spice, black fruits and dark chocolate. Rather intoxicating really. The palate seduces you with flavours of sweet berry fruits intertwined with fine, well structured tannins and ending with a super looooooong finish. Hands down, this is one awesome wine and it no doubt has plenty more years in it!

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Very stemmy/green take on shiraz. The herbal/vegetal/mineral notes dominate the fruit. A barossa protest, but a bit too extreme for my taste.

I wish it was easy to tell which wines should be left for day 2. Good but JH 95 very generous.
