This 1er Cru from a small producer is textbook Chablis - zippy acidity, aromas of green apple, white flowers, flinty minerality and a bit of lemon zest. It's very crisp and has a really engaging steeliness and fine length on the finish. A bit restrained but it's still young.

I never ever manage to get Chablis 1er when blinding so I’m cozying up with the Oxford companion, The Wine Bible, the Wine Atlas and the Guildsomm site to study tonight. Oh and also a opening a bottle. This wine has a lot to say! It starts with citrus, lemon rind and yellow apple on the nose then on the palate there’s all that plus the minerality. I can fairly taste white clay. And something almost honeysuckled to it. It’s very very tasty. I will keep tasting different producers until I can nail this blind. Goshdarnit to heckums.

Zippy from the start... lemon zest and tart green apples on the nose with some minerals. Tart lemon on the palate, flinty minerals, and lingering acid. Big body but not creamy. Really wants food! #gotm2020

Crisp, minerality (shells & rocks, some saline) slight bitter lingering in mouth. More acid than most chardonnay

First time I’ve had this producer and I’m very impressed. This is textbook Chablis. Great balance of dusty lime, salty minerals and saliva inducing acidity.
