I was skeptical of this blend. But such a bright and beautiful wine. Stone fruit, cherry, great acidity. Great picnic wine!

Purple wine & I don’t get along, & so thought twice about going in on a any bottle so garishly labeled as purple—but this Montsant Garnacha blend, while seriously juicy, feels relatively svelte & restrained. Baby S. Rhône comparisons aside, for under 12$ on sale it’s a slam dunk for those who like their fruit up front. Garrique & some (but not much) tannic structure round it out. Eric Solomon importer & cuvée- king of the QPR.

Rich aroma, fruity, but not too sweet. Easy and pleasant.

This is a really nice, bold tasting Grenache blend. A bit less jammy than I would expect from a Grenache/syrah blend, but a pleasant drinker.

Leave it to the Spanish to punch way above their weight. One of the best sub-$20 bottles I’ve had in some time. Rich and fruity but with earthy/spicy details that make it very entertaining.
