Half bottle size
It took a bit to open up, but after it was real good
A bit earthy, but great palate
Long and still quite young

Mar 25th, 2023The 2014 Rully Préaux 1er Cru Rouge has an open, earthy, quite meaty bouquet with fine definition. The palate has a sweet core of fruit with blackberry, orange zest and red cherries. Fine tension and a vivid finish manage to deliver more clarity than the 2015. Superb! (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2018)

Jul 20th, 20182022/9/6-7 with wagyu rump steak several ways, etc. This was fresher and less volatile than the bottle of 2015 I had just before it - and more reminiscent of that first, best bottle of 2019 Monthelie we had at Kamakura

Sep 7th, 20222022/9/3 with tachiuo himono from Atami, fried okra with ponzu and katsuo and cucumber and watermelon salad. Tasty, tangy and juicy - maybe a touch volatile, but not detrimental considering the overall profile of the he wine. At 7 years it’s open and approachable but still has a youthful density.
