Envinate
Albahra Garnacha Tintorera

Really nice cranberries/blackberries/blueberries on the nose and a beautiful, dry, long finish. Some funky notes initially that went away in the glass and altogether on day 2 (straight out of the bottle). An excellent intro to those unfamiliar with Envinate and a more affordable substitute to Lousas/Migan/Taganan

such a cool producer that i’ve been following closely. located in castilla la mancha, albahra (vyd location) means small sea in arabic. it’s in almansa, which means half way of the road: such a perfect name for a region in la mancha. opened with lots of acidity that mellowed out with time and decanting. would absolutely buy again, but would only drink with dinner, not in its own

Cherries and a lively tart edge to this. Great with tapas at Paco restaurant in Bristol.
