Inky dark. An intense nose of deep fruit. Plum, some menthol, dark cherry, violets and some drying notes of leather. On the palate big but clear and balanced. Not enormously complex, but very good rich fruit and still a bit of a baby.

Nov 11, 2018. Celebrating KK birthday w/ pie night (pizza, apple) and Italian wines. This was wine #1 Purchased at TTW wine club appreciation tasting. One Paul pulled out of his cellar/warehouse, the only bottle of this there. Deep purple color, smooth tannins, full bodied, black cherry, leather. Quite lovely.

Nov 13th, 2018Lovely nose with chocolate and lovely red fruit. On the palate lush and rich. Very smooth and yummy. Not incredibly complex, and lacks a little wildness for my palate but certainly enjoyable.

Drinking the 2001, 2003, & 2008 with owner Enrico Santini. 2001 is my favorite, big nose massive favors - all 3 vintages are spectacular. 2008 still young and developing.
