This is shockingly good. Blind I would probably say outstanding Napa Valley Merlot. Deep, pure dark berry/cherry fruit together with deep gravelly notes and a smoky minerality. Round and rich in the mouth, but not overextracted or flabby. Fruit concentration hides significant amount of soft tannin that will allow this to age, but it’s very drinkable right now. Great balance and length. Great Merlot.

Lots of grip from the tannins initially, medium acidity white some blackberry and slight oak.

Merlot 90%, Cab Franc 10%. Aging well, still has some tannins and love the cedar on the palate.
