Emrich-Schönleber
Monzinger Frühlingsplätzchen trocken Riesling
Good to have seen this next to the SF (NB: The two producers share many of the same vineyards). For me, this was the weaker expression of Frühlingsplätzchen, although still very good. Sweeter and more exotic fruit profile than the SF, the Schönleber's interpretation of this site flexes more power. Nevertheless, it manages to remains very harmonious and juicy with the laser beam acidity. Pineapple, unripe mango, peach, smoke, and cream aromas. Intense on the palate with good grip. Finishes salty and exotic. It's incredibly satisfying to drink but loses out to the SF in terms of elegance and refinement.
