Abbiamo bevuto questo vino accompagnando tartara di manzo prosciutto patanegra e filetto. Vino eccezzionale ma a mio parere da accompagnamento di carni piu struttutare e grasse. Vino a mio parere ancora troppo giovane e poco strutturata. Andrebbe provato più invecchiato.

2012 vintage; boring... Actually, I have difficulties seeing the potential.

A young Pepe. Interesting to see the evolution of this wine which is able to age extensively, liked the fruit and acid and was a great food wine.

Not my favorite vintage, but there may well be something wrong with these bottles. On the second one already after the first one was corked.

balanced aromas among concentrated red plum, oak, black pepper, hint of rosemary and menthol. Med plus body, med plus acidity, med to med plus tannin, back bone structure, long finish with hint of dark pepper and tabacco. Versatile wine that can be aged or paired with saucy pasta or fatty fish, even slightly heavy dish...lovely.

So fresh and savory and full--as warm and welcoming and homey and fresh as a bubbling mixed berry crisp.
