A blend of 60% Mourvèdre, 20% Syrah & 20% Grenache. Light salmon color with aromas of fresh berry fruits, floral and subtle spices. On the palate, this Provence style Rose, shows flavors of strawberry and raspberry, crisp with lively acidity. Soft drying tannins, light body ending with a mineral character. Tasting Sample!

First stop in Napa is to the Elyse Winery, which was recently purchased by Josh Peeples and Cheryl Foil of Standard Deviation and Addax Wines. This vintage of Rosé was just bottled yesterday. Pale salmon pink. Fresh and clean on the nose with some strawberries, white flowers and melon. Medium plus acidity (6.5/10) and light bodied. A little tight but clean on the palate with some chalk, melon, kiwi, strawberries and minerality. Medium length finish. Drink till 2021.

Basically every time I try a new label from Elyse my appreciation for them just goes a bit deeper, especially now that Russell is involved. This was an awesome Rosé.
