Medium ruby color; black cherries, plums, and black pepper on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like tart cherries, slate, and a hint of chocolate with a long finish. After a good decant, it smells like oak and cherries and tastes about the same. Nellie doesn't like it. It's too smoky for her. I like it, but there is something a little bitter in the after taste in not a fan of. With more time in the glass it really improved. I'm increasing the score i gave it.
