It’s time for some #merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Here's a nice Merlot blend from Napa Valley.
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, sweet cherries, black plums, oak, licorice, vanilla, earth, spices, tobacco, chocolates, mocha, coke and black pepper.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, cooked cherries, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, peppercorn, earth, dark chocolates, light vegetables and pencil lead.
Spicy finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a very tasty red blend from Napa Valley. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle and good by itself or with food. A very nice party wine. Screw top too, so it's very convenient.
Should age nicely in the next 5 years.
A blend of 37% Merlot, 37% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Franc and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 12 months in natural oak barrels.

Really enjoyable blend from Napa. Organically farmed as well. Full on the tongue and dry finish. Would love this with a good steak.

70% Cab Sauv, 18% Merlot, 12% Malbec. Blackberry, oak, plum, pencil shaving, dark chocolate. Good balnace of dark fruit and oak on the palate with med acidity and med+ tannin with a nice dark chocolate finish. Tannins are a bit course, but smooth out nicely with a fatty roast.
Great pop and pour with slow roasted meat.
