Vintage 2017 | made from 40% Cabernet franc 40% Abouriou and 20% Merlot. From the relatively unknown Côtes du Marmandais. The wine has a smell with hints of red fruit, predominantly minerals and also some cedar/cigarbox. Very quaffable wine with a velvety structure ánd character. Good effort! | Paired with a Tunafish starter and Risotto Porcini afterwards.

A great value for money and easy drinking wine - a "vin de soif" great for beginners - my land, my home, proud to see the wines of Elian thriving as they are the best for me of the Côtes du Marmandais appellation and this Le Vin est une Fete is a entry level like good introduction - charming, round, soft - needs a bit of aeration at opening

Expressive nose showing notes of strawberry, liquorice, dark plums and dark cherry. Juicy and velvety, easy to drink with a certain meatiness and medium+ concentration. Medium+ finish.

Fresh, bright, and balanced. Red and dark fruit, clove and licorice. There seems to be a hole in my glass..
