On the nose, ruby fruits of; raspberries, black raspberries, blueberries strawberries, dark red roses, violets and candied spice. Palate fruits of lush, creamy & a touch candied; blueberries, raspberries, black raspberries, pouched strawberries, raspberries, lifting medium intensity spices, pepper, wild fragrant red florals, lighter style tannins, black licorice, crushed dry powdery rocks &. soft suede style leather. The body mouthfeel is delightful. The finish is an even mix of ripe fruits, earth & florals with nicely done acidity. Photos are of the the Elderton tasting room and vines around their tasting facility. Their new Cellar Door, within sight, will open in a few months.

A top-gear wine for car racing enthusiasts - Elderton Neil Ashmead "Grand Tourer" #Shiraz 2012, #Barossa Valley, Australia. Medium to full weight, spicy, plummy, with powdery tannins and a finish that stretches out like a Nevada highway.

Ripe fruits, creamy mouthfeel, full bodied with lovely acidity and rounded tannins. Not spicy for a Shiraz.

Elderton's first vintage from their only biodynamic vineyard. Nice to see the changes happening within these big Aussie estates. Much more subtle and elegant than other wines tasted. Good stuff.
