1997 vintage. From the estate formerly known as Araujo. Was rambunctious in its infancy. Tasting it again for the first time since 2002 reveals a mature wine. Brickish, earthy nose. Light/medium body. Still has that decent acidity with a pleasant chocolate covered cherry finish. The rambunctious rating for this wine in 2002? 9.6 and I'm not one to rate things too highly. 9.6 would be my highest-rated wine (on here) of all time. It was massive and all-encompassing. Had better stuff but not often enuff.
