At 14% alcohol and a medium to medium plus cherry color this is a big #burgundy wine. Gevrey is always a little bit bigger than other villages, but this wine in particular and especially side-by-side with the Savigny-Les-Beaune seems particularly ripe and rich. It’s enjoyable and yet not what I was expecting only 3304 bottles made

2021 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 5 minutes. Lighter color. Light-medium body. Intriguing nose. Plenty of spice on the back end and under the mid-palate tongue. Plenty of hints (camphor, raspberry, milk chocolate, clove, damp earth) but no solid commitments right off the bat. Felt like it would "gain a little weight" bodywise and it supposedly did after 25-30 minutes. 04.25.25.
