Fresh blackcurrant, cherry, Italian prune plum, a little graphite. I’m getting minimally oaked Syrah-heavy Côtes-du-Rhône vibes.

75% Mavrud, 25% Rubin, organic, 12.5% abv. Good food wine, similar to some Southern Rhone wines. Nice tannin/acid balance, peppery, red fruit. My first Bulgarian wine, organic, and geeky varietals, whats not to love? Good with stuffed peppers.

Deep garnet-purple.
Earthy blackberry plum.
Medium body, balanced acidity, soft tannins.
Well made. Good value.
Interesting to taste wine from grapes and a region with which I am unfamiliar:)

Striking label. Whimsical. Good color. Blood red and purple tinged. Aroma is unique. Water on dry sandstone, anise biscotti and cherry syrup. Maybe a rose petal or hip too. Flavors are fresh and rustic. Like an all-wood house in the country. Near the forest but on the edge. Easy and juicy. This change of pace red is a great wine to talk about and try with the wino nerds. I drank it solo, but I’ll try to get some more.

I don't always drink Bulgarian, but when I do....
Staff training on Eastern Europe today; digging this bright, light to medium red with moderate alcohol fresh boysenberry juicy berry, primary and quaffable paired with jerked chicken thighs curry couscous and salad quite well.
