2015 Pinot Noir opened August 2018. Lots of spicy notes on the nose with some green chlorophyll scents. The nose made me think this wine might be rough on the edges -- perhaps no malolactic fermentation to make it a smooth and balanced wine -- but the tannic structure is silky and light as a feather. Red raspberries on the front, and slightly tart high notes on the top of the palate, but the silky smooth structure really holds this wine together right down to the finish.

So easy to drink, smooth and rich. Earthy. A new favorite.

Smooth easy drinking, fuller bodied that normal pinot noirs. Still quite fruity. Yum.

Great everyday dinner Pinot. Served with pasta Norcina, a heavy cream sauce with sausage. Smooth and balanced.

Raspberry red color. Nose of plum and blackberry. Slightly sweet and tart, taste of blackberry and black pepper. Nice.

I can't really pick out flavors here. A one note pony. It's not a terrible note though for the campground.

This widely available and comparatively cheap bottling nabbed quality fruit to present aromas of black raspberry, dark cranberry, crushed graphite and chaparral. There is refreshing if slightly dried fruit on the palate, where blackberry paste is lifted by thyme, marjoram and turned-earth flavors. 2015. $13
