More olive/pepper/clove/game then dark fruit styled. Nice texture.

Black olives, blackberries, iodine and a touch of citrus. Wonderfully savory with a bright splash of fruit, and notes of herbs in the finish. OG California Syrah by Edmunds St. John circa 2015, El Dorado County.

Deep purple color. Pronounced, developing aromas of blackberry, blueberry, black olive, granite, green herb, cream/vanilla. Dry, intense flavors of the same - lots of blue fruit. Medium body, medium+ acidity, medium+ tannin, medium alcohol, long finish. Excellent wine, drink or hold. 93/100

Still very primary. Good balance of sweet black and blue fruits with black olive, oregano, and smoked meat notes. Has a little whiff of barnyard funk. Full body, subtle but well-integrated tannins, and vibrant acidity. Will need to find more bottles to see how this evolves over time.
