Saint-Joseph Syrah

Beautiful. Juicy, complex, classic northern Rhone with a slightly modern style.

This needed more air. Revealed some nicely concentrated, if not a bit rustic fruit. Lots of spice and fresh coffee grounds on top of the raspberries and blackberry on the palate. Has years ahead. If opening now decant for an hour plus.

Spicy nose. Delicious. Tangy, juicy, mouth-watering acidity, gentle finish.

Solid st joe. Brings the tapenade and smoke with a little less fruit character than some other wines of the region. All in all an enjoyable bottle

Lively Northern Rhone Syrah. All the dark berries and cherries with a hint of gaminess. Medium length finish where you'll get the spice notes from the Syrah.

Classic

Opened way too early. Super tight with the tannins and acidity overpowering they fruit a bit. It took a while for some of the smoky and spice flavors to unfurl. Bold black fruit core. Will have to revisit in a couple of year to let things settle down.

Can’t say this wine makes any comment on terroir. Somewhat generic but pleasant enough. Has a kind of large production feel about it.
