La Mouline Côte-Rôtie Syrah
Tasted blind. Big fruit bomb nose. Cherries and earth and roasted meats. For some reason I had it in my head this was a red burg and couldn’t get away from my first take. Someone else said Cote Rotie. I thought 90 Dujac CdlR. At least I had Red and France right with my guess.

Oct 18th, 2020Tasted blind. Dark reddish tawny. Opaque. Silky nose. Notes of red and blue fruits, violets, graphite and slate, and some menthol. Super rich in the mouth. Velvet glove. Mouth waters with each sniff and sip. Guessed 95 Mouline. An amazing La La.

Dec 8th, 2019This is a massive wine with spectacular aromatics and depth, but very elegant not at all overblown. I would want to wait another 5 years before another, it begs for more age.

May 31st, 2015Another unsung vintage eclipsed by larger, more heralded years such as '89 & '90--this is as good as any of those at nearly half the cost--classic northern Rhone!
