Côtes du Rhône White Rhone Blend

A blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache & 10% Mourvèdre with pleasing aromas of berries and spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with smoke and savory spice. Long finish, spicy tannins ending with earthy herbs. Great value, tasting well, consistent quality.

Aromatic. Honey and stone fruit. Acidity keeping up. Nothing too oily about this, full bodied but with freshness.

Aromatic notes of pear and some citrus. An unctuous fruit driven palate - low acid, medium plus intensity. An absolute mouthful of flavour for under $25 - great QPR. Based heavily on Viognier apparently with some Roussanne and a tiny amount of Grenache Blanc. Jeb Dunnuck said like a “mini Condrieu “. I should have bought a dozen not half a dozen. Had another bottle 15 weeks later on 25th January 2021 with similar notes. Barbara and I loved it. Luscious with Apricot and Cumquat notes finishing with cleaning acid. Need to buy more!

Smells like grandma. Add lemon, seltzer, and ice and it becomes enjoyable.

Don't drink much white from cotes du Rhone, I like this standard white from Guigal.

Pale Lemon in colour. Aromas of pear and tropical fruit salad. A luscious mouth filling fruit driven full bodied palate with low acid. An excellent mid week winter white wine at a good price. An annual purchase for me. 60% Viognier plus Marsanne and Roussanne. Average vine age is 25 years. Tasted again 10 weeks later on 29th October 2021. Utterly delicious with unctuous poached pear flavours. As I said earlier needs to be an annual purchase. Stunning QPR.
