The best Chateauneuf tasted in a long time. Medium body, good acidity. Lots of earth and sauvage. Not a fruit bomb. Don't know if it will be the most popular with consumers but certainly the first Chateauneuf I've wanted to drink in a long time.

Red fruits dominate, with a lot of game, bacon component and a crush of black pepper. Very different from the Pegau one I've had before. This is very approachable, gentler than Gigondas. 2010 vintage

Well made wine. Black cherry, plum, and anise. A nice barnyard background gives way to herbs and earth. The palate doesn't disappoint, mellow tannins, good acidity and well integrated fruit. Dry yet juicy. If only I had a rosemary lamb chop, my experience would be complete.

Really liked this. Olive, dark cherry, faint pepper, chestnuts and a bit of oak nicely in the background

Deep dark nearly opaque garnet color with plum, tobacco, spice, garrigue, and a hint of smoke aromas. On the palate it's full-bodied, savory, and fresh with well integrated round tannins with plum, black raspberry, kirsch, and spice flavors with an appealing streak of minerality, and a lingering finish.

Dark red fruit & spices. Great sense of terroir. Solid now or another decade #cdp #guigal
