E. Guigal
Château d'Ampuis Côte-Rôtie Syrah
This is quite mute and contained. Clearly good fruit but quite compact. Dark plummy violet fruit. Savory and coiled. Needs time

Mar 19th, 2014Hmm. Wouldn't think Cote-Rotie in a hundred years. Shocker... Until you find out it's Guigal. Well made, certainly, but big and chocolaty... Cherry candy. Not my cup. Seems it could be from anywhere.
