A touch of butterscotch on the nose then a deep blue gnarly fruit with a bit of tang and black pepper. Savory and delicious on the palate z quite cool blooded which is ironic given the vintage. Sour cherry notes on the end.

Big time jam oak bomb that is still impressive fresh and balanced.

This bottle was lit. Just at the inflection from extracted to resolved, the complex aromatics foretold an even more delightful rainbow of black tea, bacon fat, dark cassis and tapenade. Buttery smooth. Oaky tannins to take this baby another 10+ years easy.

A lovely gift @Mike R.
Old world Syrah on steroids. 03 showing zero signs of age. Nice oak treatment with notes of cherry compote, maple syrup and pine cones! Fine grained, soft tannins and moderate acidity make this a balanced point of reference.

The nose was sweet and showed tremendous depth and concentration of ripe fruit. New oak is present but not overwhelming. The wine is complex but lacking a firm structure. Alcohol was not overwhelming. The wine is tight and will be very special with time and a loss of baby fat. #coterotie #guigal #northernrhone #rhonevalley #syrah #ctbucklinwine

Elegant beauty. WS said the peak was 2018 - Parker said up to to 2035. He’s the man on this one. Elegant and refined. Tannins still waiting resent. Lovely wine with velvety finish

Spectacular to watch this wine evolve. Opened 2 hours before and evolved nicely. Lots of tannins . But well integrated Jo t of black pepper , dried rose petals and tobacco on the nose. Well halved with a long finish. A low 13% alcohol - really lovely. Will drink well for another decade at least. #guigal - c’est un vin bien expresse- bravo
