Deep purple, clear and fluent; the nose is typical with intense aromas of dark and red ripe fruits, minerality, spices and a board of charcuteries and some blood sprinkles; soft tannins, high acidity and a satisfying mouthfilling experience. Restrained and elegant rather than showy. At left is book of the evening; I have to read at least a few of her books before we meet in December.

Very integrated, good structure, at first, 20 min after opening got more blackberry and dark fruits. As it opened up there was more peppery, smoky Syrah. Didn’t get the licorice that I commented on previously. Cassis on the finish. Long finish. But it’s 2+ years since the last bottle of this vintage. Very good, complete, enjoyably wine.

Awesome wine. Mother’s day favorite. Overall very balanced with dark fruit, spice, smoke, and licorice. Long finish. Could have it anytime. Paired with rack of lamb. Cheers.

Aromas of berries and licorice. Quite deep color. Slightly salty and earthy. A hint of a toasty spice in the background. Very, very fine tannins with a decent finish.

Very feminine Syrah; inviting seductive and delivers. Dark fruits on the nose and palate with some black pepper undertones. Faint floral on the nose. Well balanced, smooth on the palette. Had to let it sit for a bit to open up, drink now or age.

Dynamite! Complex and lively. A little bit of everything- minerals, herbs, meat, cola, black cherries, and pepper. With all that you’d think it would be a bomber but it’s not. Pretty approachable now too.
