The nose seems off on this with some faint candied cherry and rhubarb aromas covered up by a turpentine sort of smell....on the palate, however, this is a light, graceful mix of plums, cocoa, and sandalwood that recedes effortlessly with light, dusty tannins....

Day 2 of our 34th wedding anniversary celebration in Maui. Tonight's first wine is a beautiful Russian River Pinot Noir. Lots of bright red fruit and some spice on the nose. On the palate I get wild berries, raspberries, strawberries and black pepper. The finish is long and spicy. A very nice wine.
