This 2012 is perfect right now — mellow but still velvety with lots of dark fruit. Plums.

2012 Vintage. 14.5% Alcohol. Drinking very well already with soft tannins and plenty of fruit. Gail wasn’t going to drink until I put a glass of this in her hand and she smelled its wonderful bouquet. Savored it together. Glad I bought this bin end...

Recommend decanting to bring out the full range of its palate and nose. It was a little shy on the nose initially but filled out nicely over an hour or so with a nice Gorgonzola. Should we have waited a year or two? Maybe, but tannins were in check, just decant. Very balanced wine of high quality, but slightly over priced at $95.
