A light garnet shade on the eye. With a nose full of black cherry, liquorice and old books. The palate made me think of black jelly beans with its definite twang and I also picked up candied cherries with an earthy undertone and a sprinkling of baking spice. A great accompaniment to hot cross buns in my opinion 🐤

Mar 24th, 2016Duck me, this isn’t a bad Pinot by half. Sweet cherry fruit, spice and vanilla with a nice gamey and earthy core. Soft and silky, savoury and sweet, funky and finessed. Great balance with some fine stemmy tannins. A very complete package, only lacking a little complexity to make it outstanding. I’m not sure about ageing potential, but as a drink-me-now proposition it is quite compelling. Nice.
