Amazing. Such a concentrated fruit completely balanced by the acidity that is just right, not puckering not sour just balancing the fruit and then there are lovely hints of vainilla and cream in the chorus. Love it. #chardonnay #newzealand #martinborough

Pale to mid Lemon in colour. A dried pear character - also notes of quince. Opened this on Sunday and by Monday night there were tropical fruit notes as in mango on nose and palate. Honeyed and very flavoursome. Medium minus acid; medium plus intensity. Love these New Zealand Chardonnays. They are good from north of Auckland (Kumeu River) to Central Otago in the South Island. This one is from Martinborough a few hours north of Wellington.

This is seriously good. Recommended to me by the chap at a supermarket in Christchurch. They use cork and this wine has aged beautifully. It’s something a burgundy fan will enjoy, though it reminds me more of like Ceritas. I wouldn’t mind trying this wine with even a touch more age.
