Heritage Vines Sonoma County Zinfandel

Once again, @drycreekvineyard blows it out of the water with their Heritage Vines #Zinfandel! I'm consistently impressed with the zippy acidity and finely integrated tannins. Cranberries, raspberries, cloves, cinnamon and lovely smoky and cedar notes make this wine perfect for #thanksgivingwines

Dark ruby color; rich, raspberry syrup, black raspberry, baked berry nose; delicious, poised, ripe raspberry, black raspberry, raspberry syrup, blackberry palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish 92+ points (possibly the best vintage yet of this wine).

Blackberry, cassis, currant, black cherry, oak and hints of eucalyptus & mocha. Great structure and well-integrated tannins.

Always a great Zin for the $, with its wild brambly fruit that deftly toes the line of jamminess. However, this vintage is showing a bit aggressive at this early stage.

Old vines taste, light black peppercorn, medium body, our new everyday wine

Hazy ruby color with purple tine. Nose of really not nice oak fragrance, leather, hot spice, a bit sweetness of fruits, and powerful alcohol. Taste of bright acidity, vanilla, concentrated sweetness, peach like sweetness, some grassy herbs, earthy note, spice and zest. While low in tannins, the bittersweetness is a bit strong and the wine is a bit watery. Aftertaste of sweetness, but a bit disturbed with the off-synced bitter note. For the price tag, I will say it is good to give it a try.

$15 Very good staple wine.

White pepper, licorice and tobacco with lightly jammy ripe berry notes. Really solid value.
