Heritage Vines Sonoma County Zinfandel

Blind dinner, open theme, at Little Cat Lodge, Hillsdale, NY.

Plummy purple red in color, dense pigment extraction. Cherry raspberry flavors with a hint of prune in aftertaste, light to moderate skin astringency. Good acidity

Inviting, round, and filling. Nicely ripe without overdoing it. Goes well beyond your everyday table red. Nice % of Petite Sirah and barrel time give it depth and complexity.

Really nice balance of fruit, spice and acid. A steal at costco for $13.

Still young. Goes very well with food. Very dry for a zin. Almost cab like. Mineral, graham cracker, black cherry, plums; very dry.

Very good. The only wine from the Walmart of wines that I would buy again.

Plummy nose that is unmistakably Zinfandel, with an interesting fruit character, starts sweet and plummy with decent tannins and really interesting sweet spices such as cinnamon and allspice. Great acidity.

Raspberry preserves, black cherry, currant, dark chocolate, vanilla, baking spice and oak. Full-bodied and good soft tannins.

Bramble and new oak. Tart and jammy. Med acid, med tannin, med+ body.

Once again, @drycreekvineyard blows it out of the water with their Heritage Vines #Zinfandel! I'm consistently impressed with the zippy acidity and finely integrated tannins. Cranberries, raspberries, cloves, cinnamon and lovely smoky and cedar notes make this wine perfect for #thanksgivingwines
