Yum. wet slate, petrol under ripe melon, edelwiess. lemon pith and lime zest. chalky texture and a pleasant sweetness to counter the Stark acidity. Good sipping in the eye of a heatwave!

2014. This is the Bernkastler Badstube, not the generic Riesling. Very light color, light body, mineral and pit fruits and really quite gorgeous.

Extremely sweet. Not necessarily what I was anticipating given the EtOH content (12%). Thought not my favorite type of Riesling, for what it is, it is pleasant and easy drinking for an evening by the pool
