Fresh white peaches with some slatey minerality. A sweet palate with only 8% ABV and residual sugar. These Kabinetts are always refreshing but to be honest they don’t change much or gain complexity with cellaring IMO. I made a similar comment 84 weeks ago with a 2007 Bernkastler Lay Riesling from Dr Loosen. Tasted another bottle in September 2022 with consistent notes. I don’t believe these Kabinetts change much with age. Delicious years ago and still delicious.

Wowzer. Absolutely terrific. Whiff of petrol on the nose. Beautiful, lifted floral and citrus aromas. Gossamer texture with great balance and minerality.

2012 vintage. Pale lemon. Notes of citrus and hints of passion fruit and mineral. Being a Kabinett a somewhat simple but refreshing palate. 8% Alc.

A nice counterpoint to the dryer Aussie Rieslings had earlier in the tasting. An easy go to wine at parties with the florals, minerality and touch of residual sweetness at only 8.0% Alc.

Wow. This wine is singing. Plenty of body, intense fruit spanning apricot to lime/tropical, caressing acidity. Very long.

A beautiful wine showing lots of citrus and mineral with racy acidity.

Dry, rich aromas of slate, white peach, lemon and lime with just a whiff of petrol. Juicy and crisp on the palate. Light flavors of apple, peach and citrus. Creamy acidity and a hint of sweetness is balanced by firm minerality. The finish is long, creamy and off-dry. Delicious!
