I have only tried the 2004 Double Diamond Mayacamas Range, and it was quite incredible, with that said I had high expectations for this wine. Double Diamond is the second label of Schrader Cellars and made by Thomas River Brown whom I would love to try out more of his wines! The color was a garnet red, closer to brick and extremely cloudy. I don't know if this was flawed or not. In the nose it was just brandy and prunes. On the palate it was just moderate to light tannins with a light body. Maybe age has taken its toll but not sure due to the cloudiness. Maybe better luck next time.

Oct 25th, 2015Santa tried to drink this to but I out foxed him! Remember to lock your cellar! Santa drinks! Very fruit forward, chewy and earthy. In a blind tasting i would have guessed Walla Walla.
