Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. No formal notes. The 2006 “Amber Knolls Vineyard” blows the mind. Yes, I know, it’s made by Schrader but this humble Lake County designation was meant to be enjoyed early while one allowed the more significant Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon’s mature. Yet here we are, thoroughly enjoying this 18 years from vintage. Fruit not only hanging on; dare I say this is still developing? Structure is sound. Drink now through 2030. Very impressive.

Compared the two vintages side by side. Both delicious and full body, but the 2009 was the favourite

Excellent wine - earthy, full bodied. Silky smooth.

Just a little smile tonight - good but not going to tell you it was great

Still hanging in there, but should be drank now. Rustic, but still fresh. Dark chocolate, licorice, and mulled red and black fruit. Balanced with faded tannins and enough acid.

Simple red fruit, a little spice, mild raisin. Alcohol felt higher than what was on bottle.

Intensity you'd expect from rivers brown. Very nice from lake county for a 2002. Loads of red fruit and acidity with a nice finish. An unexpected surprise for this Cabernet.

Very good cab from Columbia valley. Would buy again at smyrna beverage warehouse for $17.

Nobody seems to like this, but its not bad with some age on it now.

Opened 3 bottles of 2005. Two were grassy and very fruit forward. Fell apart fast. The third was fruit forward with little grass. Still no age left . Tasted the same 5 years ago. Drink now.
