I am a massive lover of Chenin Blanc after living in WA where I was spoilt for choice. Which is why I couldn’t wait to get stuck into this vegan-friendly Chenin. Naturally, I teamed it up with some charcuterie 😉

This Dormilona Chenin was part of my Vineful delivery - Australia’s first mindful wine service focusing on organic, biodynamic, preservative free and vegan wines. Read more about it on travellingcorkscrew.com.au

Here are my notes on this Chenin..

Pale yellow shade in the glass with a rather floral and vegetal nose on it. In the mouth it tastes like you’re biting into golden delicious apples with a lick of candied lemon and such a smooth, nearly creamy texture to it on the palate.

Mr Spittoon and I argued over the last drop, so I guess that shows how we felt about this wine 😉

Need to drink more WA wine...nice acid, creamy lemon, little chalky. Food friendly for lots of different summer dishes

Very satisfying, toffee apple and pineapple on the nose, ginger, lemon and honey on the palate with a burst of acid at the end
